Wireless Internet Access

Free wireless Internet access is available at the Woodward Memorial Library during library business hours.  Registration is not required to use the wireless network.

Equipment/Technical Assistance

To access the wireless network you must have a laptop computer equipped with a wireless card or other wireless device (PDA).  The patron is responsible for configuring his/her equipment to access the library’s wireless network.

Library staff is not able to provide technical assistance to wireless users.  The library cannot guarantee that you will be able to connect successfully to the wireless network.

Printing from a mobile device is available. The cost is 15 cents per sheet for b/w and 50 cents per sheet for color.

Security

The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety, function, or performance of equipment, or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from the connection to the Library’s network.

The Library’s wireless network is not secure.  Open wireless connections can be captured by others with a wireless device and specific software.  When logging onto the wireless network, be sure you are accessing WML.

The Library will not be responsible for any personal information that is compromised, or for any damage caused to your hardware or software due to electric surges, security issues or consequences caused by viruses or hacking.
